District 23 Awards: For administrative purposes, Zonta International is divided into 32 Districts. All of Australia (except New South Wales, Queensland and the ACT) forms District 23. A District Conference is held every two years and the 2009 District 23 Conference will be held in Ballarat, Victoria. There are no separate awards provided at a District level, but District 23 has co-ordinators for each of the ZI awards who encourage and support clubs to find suitable applicants.
Note that the ZI Young Women in Public Affairs Award provides a District award of US$1,000.

Area 3 Awards:
Each District is divided into Areas. The Zonta Club of Perth is part of Area 3, which includes the six clubs in Western Australia. In April/May each year an Area 3 workshop is held for members to learn more about the activities of Zonta and on a weekend near November 8th an Area 3 Founder's Day dinner is held to celebrate the founding of Zonta in 1919. The hosting of the workshop and Founder's Day Dinners is rotated among all the clubs in the area. There are two awards organised at the area level.
Woman of Achievement Award The Woman of Achievement Award is presented to a “quiet achiever” in the community that has not been previously recognised for their exceptional service. All clubs in the area put forward a nominee for the Award. A special committee consisting of a Zontian and two other people from the community scrutinise the nominations and selects an Area winner. All Club nominees are invited to the Founder's Day dinner in November where they are acknowledged with an overall Area 3 winner being announced and presented with a special brooch.
Jane M Klausman Award Though this is a ZI Award, many of the Clubs in Area 3 have got together to promote the award, with an area nominee being awarded at a special event
