Objects of Zonta About Zonta

For administrative purposes, Zonta International is divided into 32 Districts around the world.  A worldwide convention is held every two years.  In 2012, Turin, Italy will be the host city.  In June 2006 the International Convention was held in Melbourne, Australia, in 2008 it was held in Rotterdam and in 2010 in San Antonio, Texas!

All of Australia (except Queensland and New South Wales) is part of District 23.   A District Conference is held every two years.   The 2011 District 23 Conference will be held in Melbourne, Victoria in September.

Each District is divided into Areas.  The Zonta Club of Perth is part of Area 3, which includes the six clubs in Western Australia:

  • Zonta Club of Bunbury

  • Zonta Club of Dunsborough

  • Zonta Club of Peel

  • Zonta Club of Perth

  • Zonta Club of Perth Northern Suburbs

  • Zonta Club of Swan Hills

 

To improve the legal, political, economic, education, health, and professional status of women at the global an local level through service and advocacy
To work for the advancement of understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world of fellowship of executives in business and the professions.
To promote justice and universal respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms.
To be united internationally to foster high ethical standards, to implement service programs, and to provide mutual support and fellowship for members who serve their communities, their nations, and the world.
